The nature of Our work
Awakening resilience in people and communities
We work with the certainty that every human being is inherently healthy and resilient, regardless of external circumstances and past events, nobody is ever broken or in need of fixing.
WHO WE ARE
Insight Living is a pioneering enterprise. We are dedicated to offering the understanding of the principles behind resilience to marginalized individuals, especially those in the criminal justice system, education and mental health field.
Our work challenges stigma and limiting ideas about mental & emotional wellbeing, bringing about new possibilities and hope for everyone.
Our ethos is to work with as many people, practitioners and communities to share our understanding of how life works and how suffering can be eased. We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, we are committed to reinvesting our profits back into current and new developments.
who we work with
Equality and inclusion
We acknowledge and embrace all types of diversity including ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age religion and abilities. Above all, we recognise and appreciate that beyond our differences, we are all equal in two fundamental ways:
- We are all innately healthy, resilient and wise and naturally move towards connection and love.
- We all experience life through the power of thought, 100% of the time. Although it may seem that our feelings come from the outside, they are always a product of our moment to moment thinking.
"No one is born hating another person because of the colour of their skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite"
Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom
Insight living was founded in February 2017 by Peggy Jhugroo and Liliana Bellini. It is a rich partnership of two people with different backgrounds, experiences and resources who are united in their shared passion for making a real difference in the lives of those in the community who are suffering.
